2 Chainz recently made his way to the South Side of Chicago when surprising students at Tanner Elementary. 2 Chainz was accompanied by Cap 1 of Chicago as he appeared before a lunchroom full of students.
The “Birthday Song” rapper made a plea for students to follow their dreams.
“It’s a honor to come before people like yall. Yall really gonna make the decision for the future, for the next decade and it’s really on yall,” 2 Chainz said. “….You gotta finish school. I finished school, everybody you see finished school.”
“…Basically what I want to tell you is just dream,” he continued. “I want you to follow your dreams because they can definitely come true. …Mind your business and do what you need to do to get to the next level. Don’t be worried bout nobody else, don’t be worried bout following nobody else. All you got to do is do your job, worry about yourself and you’ll be good.”
