50 Cent Files For Bankruptcy After Losing Million Dollar Lawsuit To Rick Ross’ Baby Mama

Today, 50 Cent filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection just days after losing a million dollar lawsuit to the mother of Rick Ross’ child, according to the Wall Street Journal.

WSJ found Fif reported his assets and debts each in the range of $10 million to $50 million in court papers filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn.

A judge ordered Fif to pay the mother of Rick Ross’ child $5 million for leaking her sex tape, according to the Associated Press.

Lastonia Leviston broke down in tears when the jury returned their verdict against the Hip Hop mogul-$2.5 million in damages for violating her civil rights for using her image without her permission, and $2.5 million for intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to the New York Daily News.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was not present for the hearing.

The monetary figure reportedly could be higher Leviston when the jury weighs punitive damages against the Fif next week.

50 obtained the 2008 tape from the Leviston’s boyfriend who appeared in the tape with her. 50 narrated the home video as Pimpin Curly.

The video reportedly went viral in March 2009 racking up millions of views after 50 Cent promoted it on his website.

“It was like someone had just took a knife, stabbed me in the heart, twisted it and took it out,” Leviston testified during trial.

50 Cent is reportedly expected to appeal the decision.
