Authorities have released the 911 calls in the Trayvon Martin fatal shooting case.
Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old African American Teen, was walking to his father’s home from a nearby 7-eleven when he was attacked by George Zimmerman, who deemed him “suspicious.”
A scuffle ensued between the two before Martin, ultimately, was shot. Zimmerman was not arrested for the death of the teen.
Kollegekidd.com has exclusive audio of two separate calls: one made by alleged shooter George Zimmerman and another by an unidentified woman who heard the commotion outside her residence.
Chilling audio can be heard in the woman’s 911 call. As she is talking to the operator, screams of “help” can be heard in distance.
“It sounds like a male. I don’t know why. I think they’re yelling help,” she tells the operator. “I can’t see em. I don’t know what’s going on and I don’t want to go out there.”
A loud gunshot erupts in the audio. The screams soon cease.
“There’s gunshots,” she tells the operator.
The 911 call made by Zimmerman describes the scene leading up to the confrontation.
“We’ve had some break-ins in this neighborhood and there’s a real suspicious looking guy,” Zimmerman tell the emergency dispatcher. “This guy looks like he’s up to no good or like he’s on drugs or something.”
“These a**holes, they always get away,” Zimmerman is later heard saying.
“Are you following him?” the dispatcher asks.
Zimmerman replies, “Yeah.”
“We don’t need you to do that,” the dispatcher says.
We have audio of the 911 calls in Collegiate NetVision.
