Baylor University’ Robert Griffin III, who received 405 first-place votes and 1,687 points, has took home college football’s most coveted award.
Griffin beat out Stanford Quarterback Andrew Luck, Alabama running back Trent Richardson, Wisconsin running back Montee Ball and LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu for the top spot.
In a stellar season, Griffin set a new NCAA record for passing efficiency of 192.31. He has thrown for 36 touchdowns and amassed nearly 4,000 passing yards.
“This is unbelievably believable,” he said in his acceptance speech. “It’s unbelievable because in the moment we’re all amazed when great things happen. But it’s believable because great things don’t happen without hard work
