Many Chicago artists rode the wave of Nicki Minaj and Lil Herb’s viral hit track “Chiraq.” Breezy Montana opted to forgo the “Chiraq” remix route and put on for his city with an entirely different record.
Breezy recorded “Rackz and Lean,” a remix of YC and Future’s “Racks.”
“Racks was one of the first songs we use to bop to when it dropped,” Breezy explained. “So instead of me doing a ‘Chiraq Remix’ I stayed true to myself and remixed ‘Racks,’ which was a bop song.”
