Charlamagne Da God ‘Expected’ Chief Keef’s Response To Lil’ JoJo’s Death

Power 105 “The Breakfast Club” host Charlamagne Da God was not surprised about Chief Keef’s response to the death of Lil’ JoJo.

The Interscope artist sparked controversy after laughing off the death of the Chicago emcee.

“Its Sad Cuz Dat N***a Jojo Wanted To Be Jus Like Us #LMAO,” he wrote.

Englewood resident Lil JoJo, born Joseph Coleman, was murdered in a hail of gunfire Tuesday night hours following a dispute with a member of Keef’s camp. Coleman allegedly had an ongoing dispute with Chief Keef’s entourage and members of the Black Disciple street gang.

Coleman was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting as he was riding on the back pegs of a friend’s bike. Coleman died minutes after being shot.

“What do you expect Chief Keef to do,” Charlamagne said. “It wasn’t like him and JoJo were friends. Rest in peace would be the politically correct thing to do, but it’s Chief Keef. We expect Chief Keef to be politically correct? No, ‘laugh out loud Lil’ JoJo wanted to be just like us.’

“What do you expect? It’s Chief Keef! It’s not Common, it’s not Lupe. It’s Chief Keef. Even though Lupe looks like Chief Keef if Chief Keef had a celebrity makeover,” he joked. “I don’t expect anything more or less from Chief Keef. I didn’t expect him to say ‘Rest In Peace JoJo.’ That was his enemy. They had an issue. So what are you supposed to do. ‘Laugh out loud Lil’ JoJo wanted to be just like us?’ That’s what I expected.”
