Chella H Wrote First Rap At Age 8 About Martin Luther King, Jr.

Chella H, the well-respected First Lady of the Chi, is a veteran on the mic. She can teach even the most seasoned MCs a thing or two. This is because MiChella Obama wrote her first rhyme in grammar school.

The Low End native recounted she was 8 years old when she wrote her first rhyme.

“…I did a raw ass song about Martin Luther King,” she told Redd Branding. “…Used to say he was my new daddy since I ain’t have one.”

Chella H is prepping the release of her upcoming mixtape “No Filter.” Chella touts her upcoming tape as her “most personal project” to date. Chella sat down with Young Jack Thriller of This Is 50 to give the Low down on her project.

“That’s going to be my most personal project,” he said. “With ‘No Filter,’ I’m rapping real personal. Like about my life, my stories, people stories.”
