Chief Keef’s Glo Gang Artist, Blood Money, Murdered In Shooting



Chief Keef’s relative and Glo Gang artist Blood Money has died from injuries sustained in a Wednesday night shooting.

Blood Money, whose birth name was Mario Hess, and another 28-year-old acquaintance were approached by two gunmen in the 5600 block of South Elizabeth Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

Blood Money, 33, was shot 10 times. According to the Chicago Tribune, the gunman fired from different weapons and left more than two-dozen shell casings in the street.

Blood Money was found lying on a sidewalk and later pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Hospital, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

His 28-year-old acquaintance is currently in stable condition at Stroger, according to the Tribune.

Blood Money’s death was confirmed by several Chicago rap artists, including blood relatives Fredo Santana and Matti Baybee.

“Rip Blood Money ima miss you cuzo,” Fredo Santana wrote.



Matti Baybee was deeply affected by Blood Money’s death. Matti took to social media to express his thoughts on the “Thought He Was” rapper’s tragic death.



In one IG post, Matti posted a photo of himself, Tray Savage and Blood Money with a caption, reading, “Rip Cuzo @bigggglo.”



Matti Baybee posted another photo to IG of himself with Blood Money with an elongated caption, expressing deep sadness.

600 rapper Edai also took to Twitter to remember to fallen MC, writing, “RIP BLOODMONEY.”

Blood Money was an up and coming rapper having released numerous tracks, including, “F*ck Rehab,” “Thought He Was,” “Nino Brown,” “What I Do” and “Savage.”



Lil Herb also weighed in on Blood Money’s death in an IG post.

“ON VITO BIGGLO YOU WAS MYMANZ REST UP GANG ON FOENEM NIGGAS HATE MORE THAN THEY BREATHE NOWADAYS,” the caption read.
