Chief Keef’s Mom, Lolita Cozart, Meets 50 Cent For The First Time

Chief Keef’s mom, Lolita Cozart, had the pleasant surprise of meeting Hip Hop mogul 50 Cent during her This Is 50 Interview with Young Jack Thriller.

Miss Cozart revealed she and her son were big fans of Fif prior to the fame. She also stated “Beg For Mercy” was the first album her son listened to.

“He was a big fan,” she said. “He had his basketball and he would write 50 Cent in bubble letters.”

Miss Cozart described the feeling as surreal after Chief Keef recorded music with Fif.

Chief Keef and 50 Cent collaborated on the track “Hate Being Sober.” The song appeared on Sosa’s debut album “Finally Rich.”

“I was like did he write this on a basketball and six, seven years go by this quick?” she said, “Did he claim this life like that? I’m like do I not tell nobody the secret about the basketball? Like he basically forged 50 Cent signature?”

In a July 2012 This Is 50 interview, Chief Keef revealed he grew up to listening to G-Unit.

“I used to listen to [50 Cent] all the time,” he said. “G-Unit, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks.”

Sosa recalled a story of accidently destroying his mother’s “Beg For Mercy” CD.

“I lost my momma G-Unit CD and I ain’t even want to go back in the house,” Sosa said. “I took it out the crib and took it to one of my friend’s house…matter of fact, I ain’t even lose it. I cracked it. I did not want to go back in the house and tell her that?”

Lolita Cozart is currently promoting her upcoming documentary “The Real Of OG Sosa.” The film, produced by Hip Hop Junkies, is now available for purchase.
