Chief Keef Remembers Slain Brother Booman on Twitter

Chief Keef took time to pay respect to his fallen step-brother Ulysses Gissendanner via twitter. Chicago Rapper and Interscope artist Chief Keef’s half-brother Ulysses Gissendanner III was fatally shot in the back of the head on January 2nd. After visiting an uncle in West Pullman, Gissendanner was shot in a car near 124th and Union. Gissendanner was soon taken to Roseland Hospital where he died.

“RIP Bro BooMan #NoWorries #Bang,” rapper Chief Keef tweeted

Boomie was Gissendanner’s nickname. Gissendanner’s mother, Aridecy Tate, nicknamed her son “Boomie” at birth because he weighed more than 10 pounds.

19-year-old college student Ulysses “Chris” Gissendanner III was an aspiring rapper from the suburbs of Chicago. Gissendanner’s hip hop alias was “YPN Boomtown.” The Oak Park-River Forest High graduate was related to the Glory Boyz Entertainment Rapper by marriage. Chief Keef’s father, Alfonso Cozart, was the step father of Gissendanner. Authorities don’t believe the family connection had anything to do with the incident.

No word yet on Gissendanner’s funeral
