Chief Keef To Partner With Adidas?

Chief Keef is expanding his hustle. Sosa revealed he might have potentially inked an endorsement deal with historic shoe brand Adidas.

“Finna gone head fuck wit Adidas Let em spnsor me #AdiGang,” he wrote.

Sosa isn’t the only Chicago artist to sign with Adidas. Kanye West recently inked a deal with the shoe and clothing brand.

West recently parted ways with Nike in favor of its 3-striped competitor. West spoke with Angie Martinez of Hot 97 to discuss his departure from the sneaker giant, saying he wanted more creative control over his Air Yeezy product line.

“I need royalties,” he explained. “It’s not even like I have a joint venture. At least give me some royalties. Michael Jordan has 5 percent and that business is $2 billion. He makes a 100 million dollars a year off of 5 percent royalties. Nike told me, ‘We can’t give you royalties because you’re not a professional athlete.’ I told them, ‘I go to the Garden and play one-on-no one. I’m a performance athlete.’”

Adidas has long embraced its relationship with the Hip Hop community. One of the most popular artists the shoe brand endorsed were Hip Hop pioneers Run DMC in the early 80s.

This would Chief Keef’s third endorsement deal.

The Interscope rapper earned an endorsement deal with Been Trill Clothing and boasts his own line of Beats Headset through his Interscope Recording contract.
