#DaBaby Reacts To Fatal #Walmart Shooting _ Charlotte, NC rapper Da Baby is currently being investigated for a shooting he was involved in at a local Walmart in Huntersville, NC. _ Da Baby, born Jonathan Kirk, is accused of fatally shooting 19-year-old Domonique Craig. Craig died from a single gunshot wound to his abdomen. _ Baby, 26, was arrested following the incident. _ He has since been released from jail with no charges. Baby took to IG to say he acted in self-defense during the shooting. _ Baby says he and his baby mama were shopping for “winter clothes” for their two children – ages 1 and 5 – when a group that included the victim confronted him. _ “A n***a walked up on me, tried me, whipped out on my whole family,” Baby said. “…It was a 40 up on my family.” _ Walmart issued a statement on the shooting. _ “We are deeply saddened by what has happened. We are thankful for the quick actions by the Huntersville Police Department that has resulted in an arrest," Wal-Mart said in a statement. "We are working closely with law enforcement. Since this is an active investigation, we will refer additional questions to them.”
