Chicago Artist Damo’s Younger Brother, Deonte Hoard, Fatally Shot Walking To Store



South Side Chicago artist Damo is currently mourning the loss of his younger brother Deonte Hoard who was shot and killed Monday night.

Hoard, 17, was on his way to the store with a friend when someone in a black SUV pulled up and opened fire, according to ABC 7 Chicago.

Hoard was a college bound senior who attended Urban Prep Academy. Urban Prep has gained national recognition for getting 100 percent of its students admitted into colleges.





Damo took to social media to express grief for the loss of his younger sibling whom he regarded as his number one supporter.

Like Damo, Deonte was also involved in music. He also had a passion for basketball.

Damo emphasized his brother didn’t gang bang.

“Please don’t make my li brother name out of No Gang or World [real talk],” he wrote on FaceBook.

Damo is going to keep the memory of his bro alive through his music.

“I’m go even Harder for you with this Music I promise … I LOVE YOU BRO,” he wrote.
