Did Andre 3000 Apologize to Big Boi For Breaking Up Outkast in T.I.’s ‘Sorry?’

An OutKast reunion has long been delayed. The group’s members Big Boi and Andre 3000 have stressed in interviews that they are focusing on themselves for the time being.

Big Boi recently released his latest solo album effort “Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors.” Andre 3000 is focusing on his acting career as he is set to star in a biopic on the life of Jimi Hendrix called “All Is By My Side.”

Andre 3000, born Andre Benjamin, is featured in T.I.’s “Sorry” where he appears to apologize to Big Boi for the group’s downfall.

In “Sorry,” Andre 3000 raps, “And this the type of shit that’ll make you call your rap partner/And say I’m sorry I’m awkward, my fault for fuckin’ up the tours/ I hated all the attention so I ran from it/ Fuck it if we did, but I hope we ain’t lose no fans from it.”

In 2006, Big Boi was forced to perform a tour by himself after Andre 3000 backed out.

“I will be going out down the road,” Big Boi said, according to NME. “My brother (Andre), he’s not doing this side of the fence, just chilling. But who knows what the future holds. We’re gonna see what happens, ‘cause we got the ball and it’s first down.”
