The Game used Friday, Sept. 13 to remember a rap icon. Tupac Shakur, regarded by many as the greatest rapper to touch a mic, succumbed to injuries sustained in a drive-by shooting on this day nearly two decades ago.

The Game posted a photograph to his Instagram account showing himself as a teenager photographed with the “Better Dayz” rapper.

“R.I.P. to one of the realest niggas to ever do it. Ain’t no me without you in this game. The effect youhad on the world will forever be appreciated. You music, your words, your love, your encouragment, your existence in a wolrd full of misguided youth never be forgotten. I am a better person, poet, friend & father because of the lessons learned through your music. Your mind was one of pure genius, your,” the caption on the image read.



But some of The Game’s IG followers aren’t buying the photo.

IG user @jay_evryday commented, “Def photoshopped lol look at the body he big as hell.”

Another IG user @citianlin1 echoed similar sentiment, writing, “Thats exactly what I was thinking @jay_evryday.”

Tupac is one of the best selling Hip Hop artists of all time having sold over 75 million albums.
