Diddy Tops Forbes Wealthiest Hip Hop Artists List



Sean “Diddy” Combs, 42, formerly known as “Puffy” or “Puff Daddy” to many old head told you that he won’t stop. It’s looking like he won’t stop making trips to the bank.

The BadBoy Records founder beat four other competitors with a net worth estimated at $550 million. The Hip Hop Mogul has been busy expanding his business ventures, which includes Ciroc vodka, clothing line Sean John and Enyce, marketing company Blue Flame, as well as BadBoy records.

Other Hip Hop trailblazers who made the list, include Sean “Jay-Z” Carter, 42, who came in second place with a net worth of $460 million. Hip Hop super producer Dr. Dre is third with a net worth of $260 million.

Cash Money Records founder Bryan “BirdMan” Williams, 43, made the list at fourth place with a net worth of $125 million. G-Unit front-runner Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson made list at fifth place with $110 million.

It should be noted that none of these Hip Hop moguls made this list merely by dropping bars. They are also business savvy, and have spread their intelligence in the business realm.

Jay-Z owns the 40/40 club chain and is part owner of New Jersey Nets basketball team. Dr. Dre started his own headphone company Beats Electronics. 50 Cent made a smart investing move with Vitamin Water.

Anyone wanting to know how to strike it rich should look to these guys as a great example.
