Ebone Hoodrich Helps R&B Legend Lionel Richie’s Daughter, Nicole Richie, Record Rap Song

Nicole Richie, daughter of famed R&B musician Lionel Richie, is a huge fan of the Hip Hop genre, but says there aren’t much songs that caters to her lifestyle.

This prompted the “Candidly Nicole” star to try her hand at recording her very own Hip Hop track.

“I’m a huge fan of rap music, but I also need music I can relate to,” she said in an AOL Original video.

Nicole sought the creative and lyrical assistance of rising Chicago Rap artist Ebone Hoodrich. She was introduced to the budding artist by brother-in-law and Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden.

Ebone Hoodrich, whose music has been featured on numerous Hip Hop websites, knows a thing or two about making a hit record.

Ebone told Richie the key to making a “good rap intro” is to just have “swag.”

“You just gotta have the swag,” he said. “You don’t need to write the intro down.”

Nicole hit studio in her MC attire, which included gold chain necklaces and a skully, and proceeded to lay down some bars.
