A pregnant Detroit woman survived a violent attacked Saturday morning by her ex-boyfriend, Fox 2 reports.

The incident occurred after the 22-year-old woman dropped him off at his new girlfriend’s home following a date at a drive-in movie.

The two pulled into the garage and the man grabbed the woman’s neck and put a gun to her head.

The woman, who is nine months pregnant, was blindfolded, duct taped and driven to an alley where she was shot in the back.

The boyfriend poured gasoline over the woman, set her on fire and fled the scene.

Luckily, the woman freed herself and notified police.

Her ex-boyfriend and his roommate have been arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder, conspiracy with intent to murder and forceful imprisonment, according to The Detroit Free Press.

The woman is in the hospital and listed in serious condition. She is being treated for burns to her back, torso and face, The Detroit Free Press reports.

She gave birth to a healthy baby boy Wednesday morning.

The ex-boyfriend and his roommate will be arraigned today in 37th District Court in Warren.
