Famous Dex is not only known for his eccentric fashion choices, dancing and bumping music, but also his tattoos. Dex broke down the meaning of his tats during an interview with Say Cheese TV.

Dex’s first tat, he said, was in honor of his mother who recently passed.

“R.I.P. my mama. Diane, my baby,” he said. “I got her right here on my neck.”

Dex said his mom was not a fan of his tats.

“‘Boy, you better stop getting them tattoos,” Dex recalled his mother saying.

Dex knew that a regular nine-to-five was out of the question after getting his face tats.

Dex spoke on hustling day and night all of 2014.

“We was getting up at nine o’clock in the morning. I’d make it to the block at nine o’clock in the morning. I’d go in the crib at two in the morning. I was just hustling in 2014. I’m selling drugs 2014, for real for real. …I ain’t never know I was gonna be right here.

Dex said he always had a sense of fashion and was always a “turnt” person, but the music came out of nowhere.

“…God blessed me with music, bro,” he said.

Dex hopes to use music to take care of his family.

“Once I take care of my brothers and sisters, I don’t give a f**k what happen after that,” he said. “My daughter straight, I don’t give a f**k what happen.”

Dex went on to say his breast cancer tat is his most important ink. He says it symbolizes his mom’s battle with cancer.

“Cancer a motherf****r, especially breast cancer,” he said.
