Newsweek and The Daily Beast have released the 2012 College Ranking list for Top Fraternities. These fraternities have been acknowledged for exemplifying the true meaning of brotherhood and service.
Greek life often receives a bad rap with hazing occurrences seemingly on the rise.
There are a total of 75 fraternities in the North-American Interfraternity Conference. In a list of 25 fraternities, College Rankings honored four black fraternities in the National Pan-Hellenic Council.
The list of NPHC fraternities that made the list includes Phi Beta Sigma, ranked 24; Iota Phi Theta, ranked 20; Kappa Alpha Psi, ranked 12; and Alpha Phi Alpha, ranked 10.
College Rankings considered a number of factors to create list. The Daily Beast and Newsweek considered the number of alumni who are currently members of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as the alumni, if any, who became president.
Both publications used the most recent public filing to check the amount of money each fraternity’s non-profit fund donated to 501(c)(3) organization.
Check out Newsweek’s and The Daily Beast’s 2012 College Rankings List for Top Fraternities below.

Is there a sorority list?
Damn they dun played the Omegas
no the omegas played themselves. they can never stay active for shit. I’m happy to be a Sigma
They got my boos the Kappas down, so the list koo w/ me
lmfao iotas make the list but the ques don’t. i know their founders are rolling in their graves
we need a sorority list up here
You know AKA is on the list hands down
Where is the sorority list?
They left out the Ques. They trippin lol
no, there is no reason for ques to be on that list.. this isn’t most drunk or lowest gpa or most frequent dropouts..ll
Can someone please tell me why Iotas are on the list? What prominence do they have?
the black nigga from livin single an iota
Alpha is the lowest ranked black fraternity. Shout out to the coldest PHrat. 0000006!!!
I know you meant ranked the highest phrat 06!
See that’s the black crabs in the barrel mentality. You’re happy you placed 10th? Oh wait, it’s cool as long as your competing against your own, right? You should be proud to say members of the divine nine made the list but no. you are the reason why there is division in the world.
Who else was supposed to be the best ranked frat among the Divine 9? You mad ques din’t touch this list? Stay mad..19—0000006!
This is a bogus list. Omega has at least 3 active U.S. Congressman, Hank Johnson (GA) and Jess Jackson Jr (Ill), more than Iota. We have donated over a million to 501C orgs. Sigmas get credit for making Bill Clinton and honorary member, cmon son. Iota, wtf???
So your basically calling a credited news source bogus because the Ques, which im assuming is your org, didnt make the cut? common now atleast be grateful that black frats made the list and can rep the NPHC. and quit hatin on the Iotas unless your in their org you dont know what they have accomplished, which in 2012 must have been more than the ques….just sayin
I have much respect for black fraternities. I don’t have respect for fraternities that create division. When it comes to white folk, they don’t care about who first or not. But we as black ppl always stop over the next to get ahead. It’s been that way since slavery.
