JP Armani and Lil Chief Dinero are proud Chicagoans. Though Chicago grew in popularity from drill music, the GMEBE artists don’t want to be classified in that genre.
JP and Dinero sat down with the rap shack to explain their artistry.
“We separate ourselves from Chicago music,” JP Armani said. “We just not no rappers. We artists. We gone rap off any type of beat. R&B… we gone hop on that sh*t and kill it. We doing that s**t for the money. We might hop on a track with some rock band n****s.”
Lil Chief Dinero backed JP’s sentiment.
“We don’t just do drill music,” Dinero said. “We got hella s**t. You can listen to my mixtape. My mixtape isn’t just drill music. My s**t tell stories. It ain’t just about shooting motherf*****s. I tell you I’m tryna get the f**k away from that s**t in my music.”
