Kanye West Leaves Tidal, Says Jay Z Owes Him $3M

Kanye West has left Tidal after alleging Jay Z owes him more than $3 million, according to TMZ.

Ye’s attorney reportedly sent a letter to Jay Z a month ago, saying Tidal was in breach and the contract was terminated, sources told TMZ. After two weeks of talks, both sides failed to come to an agreement, and West’s people again sent over documents declaring the contract officially done.

Ye’s issues with Jay come before the release of “4:44.” Jay took a dig at Ye in “Kill Jay Z,” rapping, “You walkin’ around like you invincible, you dropped outta school, you lost your principles/I know people backstab you, I felt bad too/But this ‘f— everybody’ attitude ain’t natural/But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe/But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye/You gave him 20 million without blinkin”/He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f— was he thinkin’?/’F— wrong with everybody?’ is what you sayin’/But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane.”

Ye was upset with Jay for not paying him his bonus for contributing to over a million subscribers to Tidal with the exclusive release of “The Life of Pablo.” Ye also said Tidal didn’t reimburse him for music videos.

Tidal isn’t letting Ye walk away from his contract that easy, and has threatened to sue him. Ye told Tidal he’d make sure to countersue if that does happen.
