King Samson Talks Beef and New Project ‘Robber Not A Rapper’

King Samson is a veteran not only in the streets, but also the rap game. The South Side Chicago artist has been consistent in pumping out quality records for the streets and burbs to rock to. Samson gave fans what they were asking for with the release of “Samson Durant.” But Samson was forced to take a brief hiatus from the game after he spent time recovering in the hospital from near fatal gunshot wounds. But even bullets couldn’t silence Samson’s fiery spirit. Samson recovered and released the hot singles “Only The Strong Survive (OTSS),” “Bulletproof,” “Scrape” and “Spray.” Samson is now ready to drop his upcoming project “Robber Not A Rapper.” Samson announced the project with a menacing cover art.

Samson says there is truth behind the project’s title.

“It’s just the truth that I can’t run from, so we run with it as a name,” he said.

The project, Samson said, will feature 16 tracks with guest features from Nino, Parkay and Atlanta’s Yung Mazi and Jose Gwapo.

“…Big boy sh-t,” he said. “Not like this other bullsh-t that’s out… that fake ass drill bullsh-t.”

Samson goes hard on all of his project releases but the “Street God” rapper says listeners’ ears will again witness a hunger not seen in some time from him.

“…All my shit hard… I stand on that, but what makes this one different… I’m hungry again to show I’m better then these n-ggas,” he said. “Not just in my city… around the world.”

The project, Samson boasts, will reaffirm he is the “best in Chicago hands down.”

But Samson won’t be done at “Robber Not A Rapper.” He says the project will precede his main course “Banksy.”

“‘Banksy’ is what they can wait on,” he said. “All my sh-t sound like a album but that’s it right there. Next next level sh-t, but I’ll let the fans be the judge of that.”

Aside from music, Samson also took time to weigh in on the beefs on the music scene.

“It can’t be beef if u see n-ggas and nothing go on,” he said. “I just call that shit the rap game that’s shit that they do. But if I could change sh-t I wouldn’t I would do it all the same.”

Samson’s “Robber Not a Rapper,” hosted by DJ Shon and DJ Young Shawn, is slated to drop Feb. 23.
