King Yella and OsoRico Speak On Deaths Of Capo, Lil JoJo, LA Capone and More In ‘Funeral’

King Yella and brother OsoRico touch on a very serious topic in their hometown of Chicago. The City’s violence has been a reoccurring topic in national news. The world watches this genocide on their television sets. But Yella and Rico are living in it.

Yella lost a lot of close ones around him. Yella even acknowledges the ones lost on the other side in this SpenCity Beats production.

Yella spits his soul out in his opening verse:

I just wish I could bring the guys back (RIP my n*ggas)/Posted on the block, pockets like (?)/Whole city f*cked up like a riot/I guess that’s why all these n*ggas dying/Chicago on that BD and that GD sh*t/Whole time, the white man steady killing sh*t/And got us looking dumb while they killing us/Man it’s crazy how they killed them little boys/Got me thinking cause I got me two little boys/LA got killed, Capo got killed/JoJo got killed, Aiki got killed/And that’s both sides, n*ggas steady getting killed.”

OsoRico follows Yella and incorporates auto-tune in this track’s break.

Yella ends his record pleading with his Chicago community to “get it together.”
