Yella appears to be indeed going in a different direction with his music. The SkeezeGang boss is titling his latest mixtape project after one of Hip Hop’s most legendary rappers. According to Yella, “2 Pac: The Mixtape,” hosted by DJ Cortez, will be the realest sh*t he ever wrote.
Yella announced in late November he was stepping away from Drill Music.
“No more gang banging music,” Yella said. “F**k them n****s. I don’t give a f**k about no gang. …We getting money… that’s it. …2016, new music. F**k you if you ain’t rocking with me.”
In response to a fan on Twitter, he wrote, “I was never a drill rapper I always been a real rapper.”
Yella, only 26 years old, has a number of mixtapes under his belt, including “Clout King,” Chucky Of Chiraq,” “Corleone,” and “Skeeze World,” to name a few.
