Kyrie Irving is used to being in the spotlight, but was his face was unexpectedly plastered on the front page of many tabloids after his girlfriend Kehlani was exposed being in bed with her ex-boyfriend PartyNextDoor.
Kyrie has since spoken out to clarify his relationship with Kehlani at the time the photo was posted.
“It’s been hard to see what’s been going on and not address the truth,” he wrote on Twitter. “I do not justify the picture or what dude did to try and spark all of this nonsense that could have been avoided, but me and Kehlani were not dating when the picture came out.”
Kyrie said he has no hard feelings for his former girl who claimed to have attempted suicide.
“It’s unfortunate that it’s received so much attention but its become bigger because of a post that was misunderstood,” he wrote. “Nothing but love and compassion over this way for her and her family. My only focus the Game I love to play every night.”
Kehlani is now home and recovering following her attempt to take her own life. Kehlani updated fans on her condition in a now-deleted Instagram post.
“thank you for the love. everyone’s fighting things people know nothing about. healthy, home & with ppl who love me. Thank you 4 all support. all God. Will b taking space”
Days ago, the R&B singer posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed with an IV in her arm:
“today I wanted to leave this earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point. But.. Don’t believe the blogs you read ..No one was cheated on and I’m not a bad person… Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding… But God saved me for a reason, and for that… I must be grateful.. Cuz I’m not in heaven right now for a reason… On that note.. Bye instagram.”
She would later thank PND for saving her life.
Kehlani’s near brush with death comes after she was exposed cheating on Kyrie Irving with ex boyfriend PartyNextDoor.
PND posted a photo of the singer in bed with him onto his IG account.
“After all her shenanigans, still got the R&B singer back in my bed,” PND captioned his IG post.
Kehlani found herself getting trolled heavily on her IG account. She later deactivate her account, but not before posting a note onto her account, apologizing to Kyrie:
“I was in a dark place. Feeling totally incapable of being loved, was told things like love was possible maybe but also very impossible for someone in my position.. was used to being in situations where I was so unappreciated and gave so much with little to nothing in return and slowly accepted that’s how relationships work. 75% to 20%. Baby you my 50 50. Everyday with you is light. Everyday with you feels like a Sunday morning. Thanks you for your golden heart, I wish the whole world got the privilege of experiencing your love, it’s an honor to know your soul. Thanks for being my bestieeeee, my dance partner, my personal therapist, the Kelly to my Beyonce cuz you quick AF wit them harmonies, and the greatest boyfriend boyfriend of all time.
