Lil Durk made Christmas special for 10 families this holiday season. Durk made one of his charitable donations at 107.5 WGCI. CBS 2 Chicago was on the scene to cover the story.
“I grew up with nothing,” Durk said. “My mama, she did a good job, the best she could do. I grew up with nothing, so I know how it feel.”
Durk has since challenged his fellow rappers to give back.
He wrote on Twitter, “I gave up 10k for Christmas to 10 families – I challenge All Rappers To do the same #chicago.”
On IG, Durk added, “This not a beef tweet or to treat mfrs I just need y’all help to put more smiles on faces !!!!!!! Let’s get it.”
Lil Durk isn’t the only rapper to issue a charity challenge.

“I’m challenging 21 Savage to go through the hood with a U-Haul truck and pass out bikes,” 22 said. “You know what it is. This is $140,000. [$142,000] to be exact.”
