Lil Durk Opens Up On OTF NuNu’s Murder In ‘Try Me’ Remix

Lil Durk touched on a lot of issues in his most recent freestyle on Dej Loaf’s “Try Me” beat. Among the variety of topics Durk discussed was the murder of his cousin and aspiring rapper OTF NuNu.

NuNu, aka Nuski, was shot multiple times Saturday, May 31 as he was sitting in his vehicle in a parking lot outside of Chatham Village Square mall at Cottage Grove and 87th Streets. He was 21.

Durk raps, “RIP to Nuski, my cousin called me/I seen my cousin bleeding I damn near lost it/That’s why I gotta ride through all the opp sh-t.”

The OTF frontman was deeply distraught by the loss of his first cousin and stayed away from social media for several days.

He would later take to social media to thank friends and fans for their support.

“Nuski gang

“I just turned my phone on and seen all dese text love for the support,” he wrote.

Durk later posted an image of himself with Nuski to his IG account.

“Words can’t explain @official_nuski just like you told me we gotta win……#Nuski,” the caption on the post read.

Lil Durk revealed the emotional wounds to his loss had not healed with an IG message posted in July.

“This shit really hittin me bro I wish you was here with me right now fuk everybody who ain’t for us ily shorty on lss every tear I shed how many moms gone geel it,” the caption on his post read.

The emotional wounds still have not healed as Durk is planning to use the booth as a form of therapy. Durk is currently prepping the release of “War” remix featuring Edai.

Durk has been teasing the track with short song snippets.

Edai posted the track’s cover art to his IG account, which showcases a long line of army tanks ready for combat.

“#WARTIME @real_lildurk #OTF #Team600,” the caption on his post read.

Durk commented via IG he was hopping on the track to defend his slain cousin OTF NuNu.

“Own disrespect the dead I seen opp sayin f-ck Nuski so I’m on alotta dat,” he wrote on Twitter.

“I die for mine,” he added on IG.

Durk has been mulling the idea of hopping on the record ever since April.

“Who want me on @EDAI_600 war,” Durk asked fans.

Edai’s “War” is highly controversial as it is a direct diss to his opps. He released his Sose The Giant visual for the original single in February.
