Lil Durk Talks Infamous Chair Throwing Incident During Columbus, OH Performance

Lil Durk sat down with 247HH to shed light on the infamous chair throwing incident during his Aug 20, 2013 Columbus, OH performance at Skully’s Music Diner and Bar.

“We was in Columbus, OH and we be having the crowd hyped,” Durk said. “It was like 15 boys right here. We thinking they on our side cause they keep jumping. But they start throwing up they middle fingers. I’ll say about five minutes into the show somebody threw a chair.

Footage surfaced showing Durk attempting to diffuse the crowd. He repeatedly told patrons to “chill” and to instead enjoy themselves and “turn up.”

The hostility in the crowd heightened and Durk was subsequently assaulted after being hit with a barstool.

Gunshots can later be heard going off.

Durk says the chair hit one of his entourage in the nose.

“Both of his eyes was black the next morning. It was all on the Internet. It was on World Star. They called me and took it down. The same spot when Rich Homie Quan got into it and somebody got killed.”

Jeremiah Frazier, 24, was the victim in Rich Homie Quan’s Columbus concert incident. The Dec. 21 fatal shooting actually occurred at Red Zone Bar.

Durk is currently prepping the release of his debut album “Remember My Name.” The project doesn’t have a set release date at this time.
