Lil Jay’s hard work may be paying off. The Chi Town artist may have experienced “Unexpected Fame” with a recent phone call.
The “Bout That” rapper revealed via Twitter he had a phone meeting with Epic Records, a label under Sony Music Entertainment.
“JUST GOT A REAL IMPORTANT CALL S/O @Sony nd @Epic_Records,” Lil Jay wrote.
Epic Records is one of the world’s most recognized record companies. It is also home to fellow Chicago rapper King Louie.
Lil Jay hails from the St. Lawrence 063 neighborhood in the Englewood area on Chicago’s South Side. His associated acts include his FBG counterparts Duck, Billionaire Black, CashOut063, Young Go Dumb and Dutchie.
