Lil Jay Remembers Fallen Friends In ‘Why’ Music Video

Jay’s new single “Why” opens up another side of his eccentric persona. The FBG Clout Boy is filmed in a cemetery reminiscing on friends lost in a Canon Boiz visual.

Jay opens the track, rapping in the hook, “I been through it all, I done seen a lot before/Got damn man, why my homie had to go/I can’t even hang with my homie no more/For my dead guys, my niggas go out and blow.”

Jay goes on to pay homage to fallen brothers, rapping, “R.I.P. Tutu, Tooka, JoJo and BT/I remember than days yall used to be with me/I did a lot of shit for yall with the chopper see/Die today, die tomorrow, I don’t even know/Damn man why Lil Tyquan had to go.”

Carlton Archer, known to friends as TuTu, was gunned down and left for dead Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011 in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood. The 17-year-old boy’s body was discovered behind some garbage cans in an alley around 10 p.m.

Jay says the loss of so many friends and his own shooting wounds led to him possessing a cold heart.

Jay’s most recent shooting incident took place near a McDonald’s at 95th and Dan Ryan on June 15.

He and an unidentified 19-year-old woman were shot while sitting in a vehicle a block away from the Golden Arches fast food restaurant.

The viewers can see Jay’s cold heart in action as he spits a menacing, final verse.

“My bros, I go retarded/Just because we all departed/That shit made me cold hearted/See a opp and he a target/The n****s killed my bros, them n****s got me f****d up,” he raps.

Jay is prepping another mixtape project. In the opening seconds of this visual, he reveals the project will be titled “Clout Lord.” No word on the project’s release date, but it is slated to drop soon.
