Lil’ Jay has only been rapping for a year, but feels he has reached legendary status.

It was this feeling that prompted the FBG rapper to record “Unexpected Fame.”

As downtown Chicago stands in the background, Lil’ Jay is perhaps calling himself the king of the city.

Lil’ Jay rips the track reflecting on his musical accomplishments in the past year, rapping, “All the fame and clout was unexpected/Been rapping for only a year, but I’m already a legend.”

Jay knows his talent extends outside of music, rapping, “Might not make it in this rap shit, but I’m gon be rich on me/Yeah, my whole team gon eat, we gon make it to the T-O-P.”

It’s interesting to see where Jay’s career takes him in the next year.
