Lil Marc Face Times With Lil Reese Before Tragic Death

Lil Marc’s face time conversation between himself and Def Jam rapper Lil Reese raised eyebrows.

At a glance it looks to be two longtime acquaintances embroiled in friendly banter.

Lil Marc and Lil Reese represent two different gangs in the Englewood neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.

Reese taunts Marc, saying, “Die Y sh*t.”

Marc follows, saying, “Die Ls sh*t.”

Though only 17 seconds, this footage potentially represents the complex nature of gang rivalries in Chicago. Friends who once went to grade school with each other could turn out to be each other’s so-called “opps” later in life.

Whatever these two’s underlying ties were, Marc featured this face time conversation in his controversial music video “No Competition” where takes aim at rival Black Disciple gang members.

“Baldy pack, Moski pack, Tayski pack, Lil Rob pack, woke up, ate a bowl of Trix, I was blowing on D Thang, riding down to Steve Drive/Think I’m finna Odee/Took a trip to L’A while Kita, man, she throat me,” he raps.

Later in the track, he raps, “Mask up, young n*ggas on dummy, catch you in broad day leave em like J Money.”

Lil Marc, born Marc Campbell, was murdered just days after the video was posted.

Marc was gunned down in a hail of bullets in broad daylight as he stood near a bus stop Friday afternoon.

The shooting occurred around 1: 30 p.m. on the 300 block of East 51st Street.

Other songs Marc recorded before his untimely demise were “No Lacking Remix,” “Hang Wit Me Remix” and “Zeko World.”
