Lil Reese took time to remember fallen friend J Money and other lost friends via social media.

Englewood native J Money, born Jerome Wood, tragically lost his life on Labor Day after he was gunned down in the West Woodlawn neighborhood.

It was a devastating loss to the 300 block community with many friends and family taking to social media mourn the 21-year-old soon-to-be-father’s life.

Fellow GBE associate Capo also mourned J- Money’s death.

“Up thinking about JMoney He wasn’t my Homie Or my Friend Dat was My Brother Love U Bro #MoneyGangOb4L,” he wrote.



The current homicide toll for 2013 stands at 317. The gun violence in the city continues to climbs with 30 Chicagoans having been murdered since Woods’ death.

No arrests have been made in the Sept. 2 shooting.
