Linda Gwozdz, a University of Southern Mississippi secretary, has been charged with murder in the shooting death of her husband, CBS 2 reports.

The incident occurred over five years ago in the home she and 50-year-old Patrick Duffey shared. Gwozdz, formerly Linda Doreen Duffey, told authorities she accidently shot her husband in the head while examining his gun, CBS 2 reports.

Gwozdz has since remarried following the incident and was arrested at her home she shares with her new husband in Mississippi.

Gwozdz is being held on $2 million bond in Mississippi and is awaiting extradition to Los Angeles County.
