Lupe Fiasco Apologizes to Chief Keef for Comments [Video]

The world of Hip-Hop saw a once quiet music scene in the world of Hip-Hop become very outspoken in recent weeks. Particularly, the rift between Interscope artist Chief Keef and Lupe Fiasco came to blows after the “Kick Push” emcee expressed his fear of the emerging Chicago artist.

“Chief Keef scares me,” Lupe said, according to an interview posted by Fake Shore Drive. “Not him specifically, but just the culture that he represents. Specifically in Chicago. And I don’t speak this about any other city because I’m not from there. But like my family lives in Chicago. So my nephews, my cousins, my friends, and my peoples they all in those hoods that he represents. When you drive through Chicago…The hoodlums, the gangsters, and the ones you see killing each other. And the murder rate in Chicago is skyrocketing and you see who’s doing it and perpetrating it, they all look like Chief Keef.”

Chief Keef took issue with Lupe’s comments and let it be known in Twitterspehere he doesn’t like the fellow Chicago. The Hip-Hop newcomer even threatened to physically harm the veteran.

Chief Keef sent the “Kick Push” rapper a tweet, which read:

“Lupe fiasco a h*e ass ni*ga And wen I see him I’ma smack him like da bi*tch he is #300.”

Keef has since deleted the tweet and alleges his account was hacked.

Lupe decided to take it upon himself to apologize for his remarks at a Toronto show.

“I’m far from where I wanna be, I’m far from being a stand-up human being, I’m far from being a knowledgeable and wise young man as well,” Lupe said. “I’m somewhere in the middle. I ain’t no saint, but with that said, I love my brother. I want to see him succeed and do his thing, and that goes for everybody anywhere everywhere in the world. Shout out to the big homie Chief Keef.”
