Lupe Fiasco On Gangster Music: We ‘Reap What It Sow’

Lupe Fiasco recently performed a concert for 95. 5 FM WPGC Jamz, but stopped midway his performance to vent his frustrations on the pandemic gripping the urban community.

No one was safe in Lupe’s rant, not even himself. The “Bitch Bad” rapper took to the stage to the hypocritical ways of the black community, radio stations and music industry.

“It kill me how motherf*ckers be talking all that ‘Man, the streets is all f*cked up; these young dudes is shooting at each other; these girls running around out here reckless,’” Lupe said. “Then it be them same motherf*ckers that go on the radio stations and play them motherf*cking songs like that shit not affecting kids out here. Motherf*ckers sit in their cars like ‘Yeah, shit all f*cked up,’ but then turn up the same shit that a motherf*ckers do on the street. That shit just irks me. I sit back and I be like damn I can’t even speak on the shit anymore because we do it to our f*ckin selves.

“In the little smallest hypocritical way, we support that shit, then get mad when that shit come back to reap what it sow. When the chickens come back to roost on your ass.”

Does Lupe have a point?
