Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj were Hip Hop’s “it” couple after going public with their relationship in February 2015.

Unfortunately, all things come to an end. Meek and Nicki parted ways after a two-year relationship. Nicki confirmed to fans earlier this year she was single.

Meek decided to express his feelings on the relationship in his new “Wins and Losses” album.

Meek penned “Fall Thru,” which can possibly be an ode to Nicki.

The most telling line in this record that suggests it’s about Nicki is his opening to his second verse.

Meek raps, “I was locked up, I remember when I hit you/Used to write me back every letter that I sent you/You wasn’t my girl but you used to pretend to/When I came home, let me beat it instrumental/Lame [Safaree?] left you scarred so I had to reinvent you.”

Nicki spoke on how she fell for Meek while he was in jail during an interview with GQ.

Nicki said she started taking Meek “seriously” when he went to jail.

“…I was left in a house by myself and it was just a tough time for me and it happened to be a tough time for him as well,” she said.

Nicki said at that time she was having complications with Safaree.

“…It was weird and so at that time I was available,” she said. “So I reached out [Meek] letting him know…, It’s so funny that the day he went to jail, he was on my mind the day before.”

Meek name-drops Nicki in the Dougie-produced song “1942 Flows.”

Meek raps, “N****s taking shots, can’t stop me, they ain’t real enough/Cut her off, act like she’s dead and it’s killing her.”

In the third verse, he raps, “Bloggers in the frenzy, truck to the Bentley/Ain’t doing no interviews, I’m busy, n***a we litty/So when you see me out don’t ask me about no Nicki/F**k I look like telling my business on Wendy/N****s gossip like queens, we was serving fiends.”

Meek’s album features guest appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Quavo and more.

Production on this project comes from Maaly Raw and Honorable C.N.O.T.E, to name a few.

The project is available for purchase on iTunes.
