Meek Mill Gets Icy Lil Snupe Chain Made: ‘All My Friends Are Dead’

We are fastly approaching the fourth anniversary of Lil Snupe’s death. Snupe, born Addarren Ross, was shot and killed the morning of June 20, 2013 following a dispute over a Madden video game. He was 18.

Meek Mill, who signed Snupe to his Dreamchasers label, honored the memory of the Baton Rouge rapper with a custom icy chain. The diamond-studded piece features a photo of Snupe.

In September 2016, Meek expressed anger with Internet trolls who accused him of having Snupe killed during an interview with My Mixtapez.

“I don’t know how the Internet go sometimes,” he said. “The Internet kinda like uncontrollable where people go with their own ways. They say what they wanna say. You’d put a picture up of your baby, somebody a tell you your baby ugly. When Lil Snupe died, people was putting up, ‘Rest in piss’ or I got him killed. It’s a world of cowards where people get behind a computer and just type anything and like discredit you or talk about your family and friends.”

Meek Mill’s recorded song “We Ball” in memory of Lil Snupe.

In Meek’s song, he raps, “When they killed my n***a Snupe, I seen my young n***a in a casket/He ain’t even have no blood in him/Probably the reason why I keep taking these drugs quicker/I ain’t got no patience for these motherf*****g f**k n****s.”
