Nicki Minaj Reacts To Joe Budden’s Comments About Her Relationship With Meek Mill

Joe Budden set off a firestorm on social media due to comments made on Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill’s relationship on an episode of “I’ll Name This Podcast Later”. Shortly after Meek Mill and Budden engaged in a heated back and forth early Saturday, Nicki issued a statement of her own.

“Why would you be bothered by another man showing love to his girl? Let’s celebrate black love. All the best w/ur podcast. All jokes aside,” Nicki wrote on Twitter.

Nicki’s response was a bit tame compared to her beau Meek.

Meek Mill issued a scathing response to Budden’s interview in a series of tweets. He even sic’d Nicki Minaj’s Barbz on Budden.

Budden kept his words short in his response to Meek’s Twitter rant, writing, “@MeekMill #1. I think you’ve taken some thing outta context. I didn’t diss u. #2. U don’t rap well enough to go this route w me.”

Budden referred to Meek Mill’s loving behavior toward Nicki as “sappy” on the podcast.

“I’ve really enjoyed all of the pictures that I’ve screenshotted of Meek looking at Nicki,” Budden said. “Part of my problem with that is Meek’s music is too hard. Meek’s music is too hard for me to look at him with this sappy f*ck sh*t. Be the hardcore guy that I’m sure she was attracted to at some point. It’s nasty. I hate everything about it. I’m glad a dark skin guy is behaving this way. A light skin n*gga, we not moving like that, B. Light skin guys, we used to getting the bad b*tch. He acting like this b*tch just stepped off the f*cking Mars and is like the only girl.”

But Budden wasn’t entirely critical of Meek and Nicki’s romance.

He added, “I do appreciate them both keeping the hope of love alive.”
