Phi Beta Sigma Launches Anti-Hazing Week

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is undergoing an “Anti-Hazing” initiative to eradicate hazing through its intake process, according to heraldonline.com

PBS is conducting a series of workshops this week to address concerns of hazing within its fraternity.

Phi Beta Sigma created a visual initiative in April to end the culture of hazing within its organization.

According to the fraternity’s website, the mission of the Anti-Hazing Training Video is to define hazing, explore the impact of hazing on culture, understand the implications of hazing, understand responsibilities at every level and begin the process of eliminating hazing.

“Over the past year, Phi Beta Sigma has produced anti-hazing sensitivity training materials for our chapters and for other organizations that are committed to ending the culture of hazing,” said Jonathan A. Mason, Sr., International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, according to Herald Online. “In launching the Anti-Hazing Week, we are further demonstrating our commitment to end hazing throughout our organization.”
