Super-producer Timbaland isn’t all too happy with Toronto rapper Drake’s decision to release a track featuring the late Aaliyah Haughton.
Timbaland once worked closely with the rising R&B talent before her untimely demise. Timbaland appeared on Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” to discuss the new track.
Timbaland alleges Drake didn’t inform him of the project.
“I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy,” said Timbaland. “The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. But to put it on his record, would just not be right.”
Drake is a huge fan of Aaliyah. The “Take Care” rapper even has a back tattoo of the late singer.
Was it wrong for the talented Canadian rapper to not include Missy and Timbaland on the record? Sound off below.
