Rickey Smiley and Lil JJ had a special treat for fans on an episode of TVOne’s Rickey Smiley Show.

The two, who happen to be members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., set the set of the show “Owt” after performing a step routine with fellow members of the Purple and Gold organization.



It’s no secret that Smiley is a member of the prominent organization as he commonly reps the org on his TVOne series and his morning radio show “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show.”

Lil JJ, born James Lewis Jr., is a newly inducted member of Omega Psi Phi having been “made” at Arkansas Baptist College.

A photo surfaced online showing Lil’ JJ sticking out his tongue and throwing up the fraternity’s signature hook with a sorority member of Delta Sigma Theta.

The Delta @2manytaylors posted the photo to her Instagram account with a caption that read, “Congrats to my Frat ‘Lil JJ’ the newest member of Omega Psi Phi.’



Omega Psi Fraternity, Inc. is the first black fraternity founded at a historically black college university. Founded on Nov. 17, 1911, the fraternity is dedicated to its Cardinal Principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance and uplift. The fraternity’s members include civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson, comedian and philanthropist Bill Cosby and radio host Steve Harvey, to name a few.
