RondoNumbaNine Due Back In Court March 28



RondoNumbaNine appeared in a Cook County courtroom Sunday, March 9 on charges of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a dispatch driver. He was held in lieu of $2 million bail, according the Chicago Tribune.

RondoNumbaNine, 17, is due back in court March 28, according to the Sun Times.

Rondo, born Clint Massey, and an unnamed accomplice allegedly fired their handguns into 28-year-old Javan Boyd’s vehicle as he was waiting for a passenger around 4 a.m., according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Boyd was reportedly shot seven times in all, including, twice in the back and three times in the leg.

A portion of the crime was caught on surveillance camera, according to the Sun-Times. Rondo’s fingerprints were additionally found on the cab, according to the Tribune.

Boyd left behind a fiancé and an 11-year-old daughter.
