San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick gave fans the naked truth in ESPN Magazine’s annual “Body Issue.”
Kaepernick’s tats have intrigued many since his introduction to athletic stardom.
It is known that Bible verses and inspirational quotes swathe the Super Bowl caliber QB’s torso.
But another aspect of himself revealed through his tats is his affiliation to a prominent African American fraternity.
Upon closer inspection, Kaepernick has a tattoo that details his pledge class, a diamond and line number in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Kaepernick happened to be inducted into the crimson and cream fraternity in Spring 2010. He was initiated at the University of Nevada Reno where he earned his bachelors degree in business management.
Additionally, his tats reveal he was number six on his line and most likely the tail.
Kaepernick being the sixth person on his line is very telling.
Following Kaepernick’s 34-31 Super Bowl loss, he had “Against All Odds” emblazoned across his chest.

Kaepernick’s life story can be best explained as the sixth man.
He was barely recruited out of high school and was the sixth quarterback taken in the 2011 NFL draft, according to Mercury News.
Kaepernick only received a football scholarship offer from Nevada. Cal and San Jose were two of 100 schools that passed on the rising athlete.
Despite a stellar comeback performance in Super Bowl XLVII (16-for-28, 302 yards, one TD, one interception; seven rushes, 62 yards, one TD), Kaepernick still has a lot to prove.
Hopefully, “against all odds,” the young QB will silence all the critics and establish himself as one of the premier QBs in the league.
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc was founded on Jan. 5, 1911 at Indiana University Bloomington. Prominent members of the fraternity include Montell Jordan, Cedric “The Entertainer,” Marvin Sapp and Bob Johnson.
