Chantel Johnson’s weight loss story warmed the hearts of many on NBC’s “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition.”

The Truman State University student, who hails from Egin, IL, shed more than 159 pounds on her weight loss journey.

Starting out at a staggering 327 pounds, Johnson was able to finish the show weighing 168 pounds.

Her trainer, Chris Powell, helped motivate and whip Johnson into shape.

Johnson’s family history consists of bad eating habits. Johnson was at a very high risk of diabetes and heart disease.

Her mother joined her on her journey and was able to drop more than 20 pounds.

Johnson is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho and was seen wearing her sorority’s sash upon her graduation from Truman State University.
