The Washington Post is reporting that new love has sprung between Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs, and former Washington D.C. mayor Adrian Fenty.
The two reportedly developed a special relationship after a meeting at a Houston education conference in 2011.
Ms. Jobs, 49, found Fenty’s passion for education reform admirable after the Kappa Alpha Psi member joined the board of College Track. She spoke highly of the Howard Law graduate in a statement, writing, “Adrian Fenty is one of country’s great advocates for education reform. His sense of urgency and record of accomplishment is unparalleled.”
Ms. Jobs has been a widow for nearly two years after her tech-mogul husband succumbed to cancer in 2011.
Ms. Jobs is one of the wealthiest women in the nation after inheriting a fortune of $10 billion.
Fenty, 42, is separated from his wife, Michelle, and is currently undergoing a divorce that is reportedly close to completion.
