Swizz Beatz Wants To Bring New York City Hip Hop Back, Hints New DMX Album



Swizz Beatz is on a mission to bring New York City Hip Hop back. The super-producer is currently in the studio cooking up some bangers. The Bronx native took to IG to tease a few beats.

“No sleep! We gon bring New York City right back,” he proclaimed. “Y’all wanna wake the monster up?”

Swizz Beatz also revealed a new DMX album is on the way.

“Everybody say they want the new DMX album, huh?” he said. “You really want the new DMX album?”



In April 2013, the “Open Letter” producer took to Twitter to say he wants to bring the “Dog” back.

“My dream is to bring the DOG Back,” he wrote.



Swizz’s statement followed a performance between himself and DMX during a concert with Alicia Keys. Their songs of choice were “Ruff Ryders Anthem” and “Party Up.”

The pair was a force in the late 90s and early millennium after having recorded numerous hits, including “Get It On The Floor.
