Tee Grizzley’s artist, Sada Baby, is the latest rapper to say he’s smoking Tooka. Sada Baby said the controversial phrase in new song “Guatemalan.”

Sada Baby raps, “My n***s bout that action, yeah/Like Lil Reese and Booka, smoking Tooka/Me and Tooda, we be boolin with the shooters.”

Chief Keef popularized “Tooka” as a weed strain in his music. Though Tooka has been popularized as a slang term for marijuana, it was actually the name of a deceased Chicago teen.

Tooka, born Shondale Gregory, was shot and killed on Jan. 12, 2011 at a bus stop at 63rd and St. Lawrence in the Woodlawn neighborhood in South Side Chicago. He was 15.

Tee Grizzley recently caught heat for saying he was smoking Brick.
Tee was cooling with Team600 rapper Booka when he said, “We smoking Brick off in the lobby.”

FBG Brick is the brother of FBG Duck. In July, he was shot and killed Monday in the Woodlawn neighborhood in South Side Chicago. The slayings happened on 63rd and St. Lawrence.

The phrase “smoking Tooka” is now common in Hip Hop. In September, Mozzy was told his fans on his IG Story he wanted to get high while he was in Chattanooga, TN.

“I’m rocking out with my shooters in Chattanooga,” he said. “We need that Tooka. That dope smoke. We need that dope smoke. That cookie pack.”

Lil Pump, too, said he was smoking Tooka, which soon drew rage from Yella.

Yella took to social media to diss the Miami rapper.

“Y’all n****s steady doing this. Who the f**k is Lil Pump? You gay ass n***a. Knock yo b***h ass out n***a,” Yella said in a rant. “Watch you mouth shorty. I ain’t finna do nothing. I ain’t finna do no more talking. …Lil Pump what’s wrong with you? I’m tired of these goofy ass rappers. I’ma tell you one time and one time only.”

FBG Duck was first to diss Pump after footage surfaced of him saying he’s smoking Tooka.

“Gang s**t, man. I got big 30s hanging out my ear, b***h. Y’all already know how I’m rocking,” Pump said. “Big 30s, whole lot of gang s**t going on, whole lot of Tooka smoking. They don’t want you to smoke this Tooka pack. They don’t want you to have big 30s in your ear. They don’t want you to have none of that s**t, but I’m on that gang s**t.

Duck, who personally knew Tooka before his death, threatened Pump when leaving a comment on the IG account that posted the video.

Duck wrote, “You must be ready to die n***a better keep Tooka name out yo mouth b***h before them killers come pay you a visit. Goofy ass n***a better know what come with saying that @lilpumpjetskiii.”

Young M.A caught heat for saying she was smoking Tooka.

M.A made an appearance on DJ Cosmic Kev of Philly’s Power 99 radio show where she spit a hot freestyle.

In the Brooklyn artist’s freestyle, she raps, “I smoke Hooka like it’s Tooka, blowing jet clouds/And I only get high to bring the stress down.”

Fetty Wap caught heat for saying he was smoking Tooka.

The FBG Clout Boys took issue with Fetty Wap saying Tooka.

The “Trap Queen” rapper posted a video of himself onto IG rapping Chief Keef’s “Earned It.”

He captioned his post, “Take a Tooka blunt den I burned it #chiefsosa.”

It didn’t take long for the Clout Boys to flood Fetty’s mentions.

The matter was eventually resolved after Fetty got on a call with King Yella.

Tooka is also slang for weed in Bompton.

In Noisey’s “Bompton” series, an affiliate rapper of Kendrick Lamar who goes by the name Earl Swavey, was filmed rapping that he was smoking on Tooka.

The Athens Miller Gangsta Blood raps, “Smoking on this Tooka, got a problem, we a shoot you.”
