Comedian Dominique and the Tom Joyner Morning show crew went on the airwaves Wednesday morning to discuss a viral video purportedly showing two men of Kappa Alpha Psi getting married.
The two men, Robert Brown and Nathanael Gay, held a crimson-and-cream themed ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 4 in Lexington, KY. Video of the ceremony shows groom Nathanael Gay with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity brothers locking up and performing their signature hand sign.
Brown took to Twitter to express his happiness over his marriage and shared video of his wedding ceremony.
“My wedding day….Robert + Nathanael 9.8.12,” he wrote.
”@SamChampion congrats on your engagement! just married my husband in kentucky!” he wrote.
Gay also shared his husband’s joy by sharing the video of his ceremony on his personal Twitter account. Gay even tweeted popular reality television star NeNe Leakes asking if she could retweet his wedding.
”@NeNeLeakes can you retweet my wedding in honor?” he wrote.
Robert Brown, who uploaded the wedding ceremony to his YouTube account, wrote on his channel, “perhaps because my husband is a kappa.”
TJMS host Sybil Wilkes mentioned that only one of the grooms was actually a member of the historically African-American fraternity.
Tom Joyner jokingly responded if one of the grooms wasn’t a member “he is now.”
“He got Kappa in him,” he joked.

No matter what fraternity they belong to, whether it is the fraternal order of police to the military, they have earned all of the rights and privileges that accompany their awarded membership. I am an illustrious member of this Great Organization. This guy does not represent KAY, and probably is not even a true member. 101 years of service cannot be reversed based on the actions of one Punk. This attempt by the news and social media to slander my fraternity will never succeed. Because this organization is way bigger than this. Believe me when I tell you, these actions are not acceptable to Kappamen. It does not matter to me what a person does individually, but when you attempt to bring shame and dishonor upon this thing that so many sacrficed for, it must be met with the strongest amount of opposition there can be. I would suggest that he follow the ways of the old Japenese Samurai Swordsmen. If they brought shame or dishonor to their countrymen or family they would throw themselves on their sword…….YO!
